Gendlin’s 6 step Focusing for Problem Solving

Thursday 28th May 2026
1.30pm - 3pm

$120

Join us for a collaborative supervision session exploring Gendlin's problem-solving method – a gentle, body-centered approach to working through professional challenges.

We'll begin with a simple relaxation exercise to help us settle and turn our attention inward. From this grounded space, supervisees will have the opportunity to identify something puzzling or unclear from their practice – perhaps a difficult case, a stuck point, or an unsettled feeling about their work.

Through open-ended questions and the felt sense approach, you’ll explore, allowing new understandings and possible solutions to emerge organically from within. This method honours the wisdom that often lies just beneath our conscious awareness, waiting to be accessed through patient, reflective attention.

This is a safe, collegial space for genuine reflection for up to 6 school counsellors. Bring your curiosity, your puzzles, and your openness to discovery.

Clearing a Space
for Self-Care

Wednesday 9th September
10-11.30am

$120

As the term progresses and energy begins to wane, this restorative supervision session is dedicated to your own wellbeing and capacity.

Using Gendlin's "Clearing a Space" technique, we'll create room to breathe amidst the demands of our work. This gentle, embodied practice helps us acknowledge what we're carrying – the concerns, tensions, and weights that accumulate in our professional lives – and then find ways to set them aside, even temporarily.

We'll begin with a simple relaxation exercise before moving through the Clearing a Space process. You'll have the opportunity to notice what's taking up room inside, give each concern its due recognition, and then practice creating some distance and lightness. This isn't about solving problems or pushing feelings away – it's about making space for yourself, finding relief, and replenishing your inner resources.

This session is an invitation to pause, to tend to yourself with the same care you offer others, and to rebuild your capacity for the work ahead.

The Art of Closing

Thursday 3rd December 2026
1.30pm - 3pm

$120

As another school year draws to a close, we're invited to pause and honour the countless therapeutic relationships we've held with our students – the connections made, the growth witnessed, the goodbyes spoken and unspoken.

This reflective group supervision space will explore the tender and complex territory of closure in our work. Together, we'll create room to acknowledge the endings we've navigated this year, and those still approaching.

In this session, we'll reflect on our experiences of closure and transition with students, exploring what these endings have stirred in us—professionally and personally. We'll use expressive and creative approaches to give shape to our reflections, drawing on the collective wisdom present in the room as we witness and are witnessed by our colleagues with care and curiosity.

This is an invitation to bring your whole self – your questions, your wisdom, your challenges, and your hopes. Whether closure has felt complete or complicated, graceful or unfinished, there's space here to explore it together.
